Code requirementAll food establishments must have a certified food protection manager on the premises at all times. After passing a food safety examination, present the original certificate with test scores to the Food Protection Division for Certified Food Manager's Identification Card issued by the Department of Health. Hours of InstructionNone for certification; 2 hours minimum for recertification

Certification RenewalEvery 3 years

MiscellaneousAll foodhandlers, (or anyone who is not a supervisor, but is in direct contact with cooking/handling food) are encouraged to complete a Food Sanitation course in order to obtain a Food Handler ID card.
