Do you have a Texas FoodGuard Course Key?
A Texas FoodGuard Course Key is a
code that contains letters and numbers. The code is required to access the
course.
If you do not have a Course Key, you need to
purchase Texas FoodGuard materials before getting started.
About the Course

Length: Approximately 7 - 9 hours

Content: The five sections are Basic Food Safety,
Personal Hygiene, Cross-contamination and Allergens, Time and Temperature, and
Cleaning and Sanitation.

Course Expiration: You will have 12 months from date
of purchase to begin course. The course will expire 90 days after it is
started.

Exiting the Course: If you exit the course and log
out, you can sign back in and return to the point where you left off.

Languages: English and Spanish. You can switch
languages anytime during the course.
About the Exam

Length: The exam is a 75-question, non-proctored
test. It has a 90 minute limit. Additional personal validation questions will be
asked throughout the exam for security purposes.

Passing Grade: Students must achieve at least a 75%
score to receive the Texas FoodGuard Certificate of Achievement.

Access: After you complete the course, you will
receive a link that takes you to the exam.

Exiting the Exam: If you exit the exam prior to
completion, your progress will not be saved.

Certificate of Achievement: After you pass the exam,
you can immediately print the Certificate of Achievement.

Languages: Before starting, select either English or
Spanish. After the exam is started, you cannot switch the language.
